Stupid Parking System

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

I just came back from Greentown Mall in Ipoh. I’d like to tell everybody that they have very stupid management there. I drove down to the basement to park my car. Took a ticket at the entrance and drove around for 10 minutes but no parking. Imagine my feeling then…no parking but they allow me in…After that, I just went to the exit and pass over the ticket to the attendant and told him there’s no parking for me. That SOB still want me to pay up RM1!!??? Where’s the justice in that??? He claimed that I’m in the parking lot for more than 8 minutes and its their rule that I have to pay up. I protested coz I know none of such rules… Then he said there was a sign at the entry saying about it… I purposely took a walk back to the entrance. No notice or whatsoever. I nearly wanted to storm into their office and scold them…but luckily my mother adviced not to. So to all Ipoh people out there…pls do not go to the basement parking. It feels like being cheated of your money although the amount is not a lot. Urggghhh…so frustrating… What a disgrace to Ipoh!

The Not So Good Old Days

Looking at my brother’s situation now made me think about where I was 5 years ago. All sorts dilemma were in my head back then. He’s was in a similar situation now. The UPU offered him a not so popular course in a ‘ulu2′ place. Now he had to choose either singapore or our local uni. At least his decision wasn’t so hard to make because singapore offered him his first choice of course. Whereas in my situation, both side did not gave me my first choice.

Our higher education system were trying to evolve and there was no doubt in that. They tried to do so many changes to it…from 5 choices to 8 choices of courses to chooses. Adding points to those with NS advantage and etc… But somehow…. its still back at square one… Every year, we see in the newspaper that so many didn’t get a place in the uni and some didn’t get the course of their choice. Call me biased…I still think its all because of the matriculation ppl. Do u think its fair to compare those who studied for 2 years with those who studied for a year… a national standard marking system with internal marking system? Not to mention who are those in matric….oh well…we live in a world with lots of injustice.

Somehow, apart from all this, I still did not regret taking Form 6. It was because of my stubborness and my over ambitious thinking that I took F6. I was warned way before about the cruelty of our education system… but i refused to change my decision…I believed i’m the cream of the crop and i can survive the cruelty…How naive I was back then….Anyway, what’s done is done. There’s no turning back now. As for my bro…singapore will be his next destination.

Futile Attempt

Owing to my recent free time that I have, I thought I’ll just get back in touch with sophisticated computer games that used to be my hobby before I started studying in university. So I started trying on Tomb Raider: Legend that was installed in the computer by my brother. Haha…it was a bad idea. I had no clue which button is for which and can’t control all the buttons at one time. It required skills of using keyboard and mouse together. Till now I’m still not used to the 3D graphics and kept restarting from the same spot ( cause Lara kept dying under my control…haha). I remembered I used to play Tomb Raider 1 & 2 and even managed to finish TR1. Probably my skills became to rusty or maybe the games nowadays are too advanced. Sigh… I’m so outdated with the gaming world. On second thought, FPS or games of the same sort are not my cup of tea. I actually preferred strategy and 2D. Maybe I’m just too old for games. Haha…
