The Hot Spring Trip & The Makan Trip
Thursday, November 24th, 2005Though my holiday is short lived, still manage to steal some time to enjoy a bit. Hehe…during the Raya holidays, I went to Sungai Klah Hot Spring Resort with my family and Bun. Started journey from my house at around 2.30pm. Sungkai is one hour journey from Ipoh. The place was really nice and water is really really hot. A 10mins dip and my feet are already red. Heat therapy u know…My dad and Bun can juz dip their legs inside. Took me such a long time to be able to do that. The water is so hot! Took some eggs there to boil too… There’s a special place that is designated to boil eggs…coz the temp there is around 100 degrees…No skinning dipping there baby. The eggs are cooked real nicely and delicious too. There was an article on this place in the newspaper a few days ago i think. Quite worth it coz its only rm5 per entry. around 6pm, we showered there and head home…
After submitting my disertation, WC, PM, LC n I headed South to Malacca. The main purpose of our trip is to eat our hearts out. Our first destination the Banda Dihilir of coz. But I had to make a detour to Bukit Beruang coz the dai-tao-har-me forgotten the keys to my dad’s house (where we stay for the night). So we took lotsa photos of the Stadhuys, St. Pauls’ Church, A’Famosa and etc. Then we go to our first makan destination…Jonker st. I had a Jackfruit Cendol n a chicken nyonya laksa while the others had baba cendol , durian cendol, nyonya laksa, dumpling noddles… yum yum. after that, we took a walk at the jonker’s st. it was drizzling so there isn’t many stall that is open. Quite a setback but it didnt dampen our mood. Me n LC each bought something for ourself. Next station… satay celup in bukit cina. Real messy to eat but real nice. Before we sleep we even had fried kuih lobak that we da bao earlier. So full liao!! The next day, we went au yin hill, took some pics and then head to jonker again. this time, we ate chic rice ball. It was raining again…sigh…this time, WC n PM both bought something for themselves. Its then time to go Mahkota Parade. Surprisingly i saw Chris Thoo n his gf walking towards stadhuys when i was driving. After Mahkota, we head to a Baba restaurant 1st before going home. Everyone should try Udang Masak Lemak Nanas!
